Thanks, FIL. :)
I agree that we adults do tend to take life a little seriously most of the time. And I think it's harder for personalities like me (left-brained, analyticals) to get outside of that seriousness and just play. But, I keep finding the more that I do that, the better I feel, the better the kids are around me, and the more I seem to be able to 'connect' with them. So, now I'm off to go PLAY with my kids and try to follow my own advice. :)

We ALL need to play more. In our responsibility=maturity culture, we are too busy and too 'grown-up' to play like kids. Yet, we all know we love it. I helps us all to know that we are INTENDED to have our own ideas (and dreams). I wonder if this is what Jesus meant when He said, "Except you become as little children, you won't see the Kingdom of Heaven"? I find it interesting that He didn't tell the little children that they had to become like grown-ups before they could see His Kingdom. Heaven - the 'place' that I believe is right-here, right-now is apparently a fun place for all those with imagination. We can learn from our kids, and their innocence and simplicity.
