Lap pads

Q: When you were using your pack n play as a bassinet, did you put down any sort of mattress protector? All we have been using is a sheet over the mattress and he has peed on it at least once a day. Do they have mattress protectors for pack n play sizes? Or did you use something else in lieu of?
A: You need to get something called “lap pads”. They are a thicker water-resistant material that you can place on top of the sheet and then when he pees you can just throw the lap pad in the washer and not have to worry about changing the sheet every time. They’re also great to put on top of the changing table pad. I still use mine on the changing table for Ethan. Then any time we change a really messy diaper, I don’t have to worry about getting poopy on the changing pad cover, just throw the lap pad in the laundry.
