Heard at the dinner table…
Kate to Ethan: “Don’t you even think about it, bro… I can see your wheels turning!” as she points to his head.
Ethan, covering his forehead with his hands: “Don’t look at my circles!”
Heard at a friend’s house during a thunderstorm…
Pippi to her daddy downstairs after a loud thunder clap and bright lightening: “Daddy, I’m afraid of the lightening!”
Jeff: “You don’t have to be afraid. You know that God is in control.”
Pippi: “And so is Kate!”
We laughed so hard at the timing of that last comment – “God is in control, and so is Kate.” Of course, there are lots of times that Kate thinks that, but that’s another story…
grocerylists.org has just released their FREE downloadable grocery list called, The Ultimatest Grocery List.
There are a lot of downloadable grocery lists out there, but none are as good as The Ultimatest. Why is this one better? Comprehensiveness. Categorization. Cleverness. Helpful clues and cues. Creativity. And… it’s portable, unlike a lot of shopping list software that requires you to be in front of a computer.
The Ultimatest is a free downloadable PDF you simply print out, hang on the refrigerator door and mark up before you go to the grocery store. Just check off the things you need—no more writing out lists by hand!
One of my favorite blogs that I visit all the time has just launched a new forum-based website called Freepeats. It works very similarly to FreeCycle only it’s more for the mommy demographic. It’s all about finding and giving away new or gently-used baby items in your local area. The cool thing for me is that they just added Houston (my home town) to the list. And through the month of February, it’s completely free to join.
So, if you’re even the slightest bit thrifty and want to know how to get a hold of baby and maternity stuff for free, check out the site and sign up for your local area. Then come back and tell me what YOU gave away or got for free!
