I just came across this great service for finding child care and more. You start off by entering your zip code and then you can search by all sorts of different criteria – years of experience, age, gender, etc… And if you sign up for one of their premium level packages you can have unlimited access to all of their care workers and background checks, too!! Just click on the banner below to find out more!
Care.com is a new service helping families find the best local babysitters, nannies, dog walkers, tutors, and senior caregivers. Care.com also offers expert advice on care planning through its exclusive editorial content.

My sister-in-law sent this recently and I thought I’d share with you all… Thanks for the great finds, Tiff!!
Ok, you all know what a bargain shopper I am. I wanted to share 2 good finds with you in case you are in need of clothing for your little ones.
1. Target has just taken a lot of markdowns in their infant/toddler sections as well as girls (didn’t shop boys dept, but I am sure they are marked down too) Up to 75% off !!!! I found quite a few $.98 items for my kids. Mostly tee shirts and a few pairs of cotton shorts.
I spent $42 and bought 18 items. (Just over $2 per item!!)
2. Childrens Place- just marked down quite a bit to $3.99. I always shop online there, and use my web code: BCMP77 for an additional 20% off. Anyone can use this code, so feel free to check it out. Plus, it’s $5.00 shipping no matter how much you buy!!!! Webcode expires 7/22/07. www.childrensplace.com
I spent $65 and got 24 items (just over $2 per item!!)
So even though I’ve now had three babies, I still forget when you’re supposed to start certain foods, and how exactly to begin the solids fun after baby’s had that first messy and hilarious taste of rice cereal. My sis found a great website with sample menus for varying age groups and suggested amounts of each food group. There’s a site for babies at:
WholesomeBabyFood.com
as well as a site for toddlers that also includes recipes and advice on picky eaters (don’t we all have one of those at some point in their growing up?) at:
WholesomeToddlerFood.com
My few bits of advice?

I’m in the bathtub, I want to be a pancake!
I heard somewhere that kids start understanding humor and jokes at this age (4 years old) and that they usually start out with knock-knock jokes. Also, you can tell when they’re really getting the idea when they start making up their own jokes……
Of course, it helps if they make a little more sense.
But, that didn’t keep Shawn and I from laughing hysterically when she first told this one, though!!
