Kids Say the Darndest Things…

Both my oldest kiddos have had a banner couple of weeks with the cute sayings, so I decided to write them down here and share them with you!!

Ethan said his first sentence a few weeks ago! Of course, you should know first of all, that his first word was VROOM. He would walk around the house with a matchbox car in each hand saying “VROOM” over and over and over. His second and third words were book and ball. At this point you know almost everything you need to know about my little boy and what he loves. He is most definitely all about CARS (totally into Lightening McQueen, aka “Keem” right now), BOOKS (I love catching him curled up in a chair in the other room with a book in his lap - that’s MY son), BALLS (any kind will do!) and TRAINS (”shoo shoo twains” to be exact) - quite the typical little boy. Of course, it wasn’t until much later that he said ‘dada’ and even later after that when he said ‘mama’. Sure makes a mommy wonder when her son’s first 5 - 10 words don’t include her at all!!! Culture Shapers - the Best Art Contest EVER!

We’re huge fans of the citywide Culture Shapers Art Contest that is held annually in Houston, TX. High school student artists have the opportunity to compete for nearly $100,000 in cash prizes, which makes this art contest for teens one of the largest art contests in the country, as far as we’re aware. Game Over?

I saw this little cartoon somewhere and after I picked myself up off the floor from laughing so much, I thought, “Wow! How true!”

A couple of weeks ago, Karis had a screaming high temp (103 at one point), and was NOT feeling well. She was very fussy, did NOT want to be put down, but every time you flinched or moved even the slightest little bit while holding her, she would scream. Continue reading…
