Girl Night (aka MNO)
I am fortunate enough to belong to a group of women who have started making ‘Mommies’ Night Out’ (aka MNO) a monthly ritual. Last night was our 3rd or 4th time to get together and it was an incredible night!! Continue reading…

Did you know that Amazon is selling GROCERIES now??? (What will they think of next, right??) Most of it is non-perishable products that you buy in bulk (like 5 boxes of cereal for $20), and of course they don’t do fresh meats, dairy or produce yet, but they say they’re even working on that!
So, here’s the cool thing… Right now they’re running a promotional where you can get $10 off any purchases over $49.99. So, I just bought Ethan a BIG box of diapers and a huge 3 pack of wipes and saved some moulah at the same time! PLUS, I didn’t have to even get off the couch, much less get dressed, get the kids dressed, get in the car, drive to the store… Well, you get the idea.
Check it out… Amazon Grocery Promo

My sister sent me a link to this product and it cracked me up so much that I just HAD to write a post about it. I swear if I were having another boy, I would have bought a pack right then and there… Continue reading…

If you’re a mom, then you know what this post is going to be about just by the title. We’ve all had that sensation when you suddenly feel all of your senses go on heightened alert as you realize, “It’s too quiet in this house”. Of course, you immediately stop whatever it was that had you so engrossed and oblivious just nano-seconds previously to get up and follow your gut-instinct to whichever room of the house it leads you. Sometimes you are fortunate enough to walk in the room and find the kids just quietly reading a book, or coloring (in a coloring book and NOT on the walls and furniture), or playing with their dolls and cars. But sometimes, that fortune just isn’t on your side… Continue reading…

Q: If my newborn is fussy, and I’ve eliminated diaper change and burping, I don’t want to just assume that he’s hungry and nurse him. However, if he is acting hungry but it’s not “time” to feed him, can I assume he really is hungry? (The question being: will he act hungry and “root” if he is just gassy or in need of TLC?)
I just don’t know what to do with the fussiness. I feel bad because I don’t know what’s wrong. What did you do with Ethan those first weeks when he was so unhappy? What was your method of elimination? Continue reading…

Diaper Pail: I personally got the Diaper Champ because it uses regular kitchen trash bags instead of the Diaper Genie’s special bags that you’re constantly having to re-buy. It winds up being much cheaper in the long run, and from all the reviews that I’ve read, the smell isn’t that much different.
Wipe Warmer: While these are not totally necessary, we enjoyed ours especially when the kids were really little and hated just being undressed, much less a cold wipey on their bottoms. No need to go fancy, just get the cheapest kind.
Diaper Bag: There are SOOOO many diaper bags out there that range from super cheap to SUPER expensive. So, how do you know which one will work for you? Continue reading…
